Christmas Day

On Christmas day Bailey woke up at 4:30am and put her jacket on and said "come on Mom lets go see the lights" We made her watch a movie in bed so time could pass by before we let her wake everyone else up.
This is all the presents under the tree we got to unwrap that's not including everything Santa dropped off from his sleigh.
Bailey got the Grand Loving Doll House, Loving Family mini Van, Radio Fl yer Bicycle, Dress up shoes, make up set, Princess wallet, lots of babies, princess pajamas, puzzle, and lots of candy.
Austin and Tyson got coaster cars, bakugaun toys with bakugaun arena, Lazer Tag guns, pajamas, Batman wings, gloves, and mask, arrow with darts, Knifes, Wii games, Guitar Hero World Tour, Controller's for games cube, remote control cars, watches, books, swords, Heelys shoes, and lots more I can't remember it was one thing right after another.
This is Brian, Bailey, Tyson, and Austin coming up the stairs at 6:00am. Brian wasn't very excited to get up this early since he hadn't been in bed very long. The kids couldn't wait another minute.
Here are the kids there is so much stuff they cant decide what toy to play with first. Bailey was so excited that Santa finally came. Bailey always said "Santa is coming to town and bringing me a candy cane". If Christmas could only be that easy.
Tyson thought he was the best Batman ever. His friend Kyle got one for his birthday and Tyson has wanted one ever since. Tyson was very happy he got his Batman suit and gloves with mask.
Austin, Tyson and Bailey with grandpa. Bailey got a beauty set and had to do Grandpa's hair. The boys are not very happy because Bailey is always wanting to dry and brush there hair.
Austin and Tyson opening their presents.
Tyson is very excited about everything he is getting.
Here is Bailey with her apron on that Grandma made and all her makeup and hair stuff. She loves doing hair and pretending to paint her finger nails.
Bailey did get a couple of boxes of stick on nails this was a BIG mistake. every time one comes off you would have thought the world ended. She is such a GIRL!! The nails she got are made for little girls. You can find anything now days.
We finally got the Guitar Hero World Tour game hooked up and working. I'm not into these kind of things so it doesn't get me excited one bit. I think all the adults took it over by the time night came.
Princess Bailey in her new pajamas or what she thinks is her everyday outfit. We had to hide it on Sunday so she wouldn't find it and throw a fit. She thinks she is the cutest thing. And if you notice she is showing off some of her dress up shoes she got from Santa.
Bailey spins and dances around in her pajamas making sure that everybody notices her. Grandma did make this for her so when she grows out of it or she will probably wear it out before grandma can make her a new one.

We had a very nice Christmas and hope You all did as well.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

The Night before Christmas

On Christmas Eve we had our neighbors over. We had a very nice dinner. Later in the evening we read a Christmas Story and watched a couple Christmas movies. We have a tradition on Christmas Eve that we all get to open one gift before going to bed. Lets take a look and see what we got.....
WARNING!!!!! if your NOT Bronco fans
you might reconsider looking further down the page.
This is Bailey opening her present she is so excited because it has a horse on it. She doesn't know it means a GREAT DEAL to her dad.
Austin and Tyson were so excited that they FINALLY have Broncos clothing.
Yes, I did get the whole family Bronco pajamas. It was hard to find them all in the right sizes and took lots of nights diving from store to store but we did mange to make it happen. I never let Brian know that I was getting these pajamas so he was way happy about the whole thing. My brother is a Steelers fan so when he came home later that night he said he was VERY disgusted in us all that we would be wearing such awful colors.

GingerBread Houses

Monday December 22, we had our friends over for dinner.
After dinner we let the kids make a little gingerbread house,
we watched Shrek the Halls and let the kids play while the
adults got to sit back and visit.
Brian and Bailey making Baileys house.
Brian, Bailey, Tyson, Austin, Sydney and Mary
all having fun making their houses.
Can't tell if they are eating more then they are putting
on their houses.
Austin making sure he is getting his
house just right.
And here is the final masterpiece of Sydney's
ginger bread house.

Taking the Kids for a late night Icecream

Saturday Night around 9:45 pm we left to get an Ice cream from Dairy Queen up on Highway 193. We got the kids the ice cream and went on a little ride down church street and turned right onto Antelope Dr. We came across a police car that had been smashed by a fleeing vehicle. We then saw another cop with his lights on but no siren driving around the neighborhood. We kept on driving because I thought that wasn't very interesting. On Hillfield Road we decided to turn around to go back to the gas station to get gas before going home. As we were sitting at the light a police car flew through the intersection going about 90 mph (keep in mind the roads were wet and icy.) We thought for sure he was going to crash. Since I'm a "deputy dog" we decided we should go see what was going on. Driving past Target we saw police cars in front of the store. Target was closed so we couldn't go in and see. At the intersection by North Layton Jr. High there were more police cars talking to people in the parking lot of Famous Dave's. We still kept driving and that's when it all happened BANG BANG CRASH CRASH the car that had crashed into the police car on Church St and had fled the scene was in a high speed chase with police. The cops decided that because of slick roads they would end the chase. The driver who fled came back and crashed into a car at the hospital intersection and sent a couple of cars spinning smashing them. He finally crashed onto the Zions bank lawn bareley missing the bank. Amazingly he was able to jump out of his car and flee the scene once again but on foot. We watched the ambulances come and use the jaws of life and pull people out. Our kids by this time had finished there ice cream and went to sleep. We stayed around for a while. Channel 5 showed up to do a report. It was on the news today. They did finally catch the STUPID YOUNG TEENAGER that caused this big mess and threw him right behind bars!! The dumb kid wasn't thinking. Yes, eventually you do get caught. We got back home around 1:00 am.

Ward Christmas Party

It was our ward Christmas Party on December 13. We had a breakfast with eggs, sausage, and muffins with fruit.
Bailey was more interested in eating the candy off
the table. She has her moms jeans with her
always going for the sugar first :)
After breakfast the local High school Choir came and performed. They did a very good performance. Austin Tyson & Bailey were very entertained with the choir.
During the songs they would come around and sing to us by our tables. For some reason they would always come stand by Tyson. On two of the songs he was kissed by 2 girls. If you know Tyson very well he is the wrong kid to be kissing. I thought for sure he would get mad but he just smiled and said "why do all the girls like me so much" that was very cute for Tyson to say that.
During Rudolph the Red Nose reindeer Austin, Tyson and Bailey all got Rudolph's red nose. This was really fun for the kids.
Bailey wasn't to sure what to think at first.
Here is a photo of Annette Vandyke and Stephanie Sellers
After the Choir was done performing we had a special visitor come to visit the kids SANTA CLAUSE!!! Santa came and read the kids a story about the true meaning of Christmas and then all the kids got a candy cane out of his bag.
Bailey had to get one last look at Santa. She loves Santa. Whenever we drive by the Mall she gets excited and yells " Santa Santa".

A Friend is like a four leaf clover

A friend is like a four leaf clover.
Hard to find but lucky to have.

Our Christmas Tree

We FINALLY put our Christmas Tree Up!!! Yes, I know we are a little behind some of you guys. Sorry for you guys who do not have FAKE trees. I just don't want everything that comes with real trees and going into the mountains to get the dumb thing. Sorry :) I kept putting off putting up our tree until I realized I needed a place to put all the presents I had wrapped. So I finally got it out.
I let the kids help get the tree and fix the branches.
The branches as you can see are as big as the kids are.
Bailey thinks she is a BIG helper.
Austin always is right there making sure he is not missing out on anything and making sure his dad is not missing any plugs. Austin loves to help and can't miss out on anything.
Tyson is more interested in making sure he gets
to put the last and final piece on top.
Finally we got the tree all put together and the
cords connected. And the kids all put to bed. :)
And I finished the tree in peace

Happy Birthday Justin

Happy Birthday Justin!!!
November 29,2008

I made a cake for Justin on his Birthday with all chocolate including chopped up candy bar in between the layers of cake.
It was a three layered cake with cool whip on top. I'm glad Justin showed up for his Birthday because I didn't want to make this for nothing.
When Justin came we had a little party and went to Sonic since we never had dinner. Sonic was having half off the menu all day so we got our meal for only $25 instead of $50 that was way nice! We were feeding my family plus my mom and dad and Bethany and Josh. So if that sounds like alot of food that's why.
After we had dinner we had a VERY big slice of this Monster cake I made. I didn't plan on having it turn out this big. Oh well it was good.
Happy Birthday Justin!
